Tlapaltik

Tlapaltik means both colorful and brave in Nahuatl, a pre-Hispanic language from ancient Mexico.

Muerte Divina

Is a powerful tribute to women's strength and resilience. Embracing her vibrant form, she stands unafraid, with wings to soar and claws to defend. Joined by the snake as her ally, she embodies the harmony of opposing forces. Part of a private collection in San Francisco.

Mandrágora

Mandrágora is a serene and enigmatic alebrije crafted from paper clay, blending the lightness of a horse with the intelligence of an octopus. This semi-human, gender-neutral piece is a testament to innovative artistry, now part of a private collection in Washington state.

Ceboruco

Ceboruco is a vibrant, dancing creature inspired by endangered species. With tortoise feet, a pangolin body, fennec fox head, and axolotl gills, he's a unique blend of nature's wonders. Add cicada wings and a long tongue for catching bugs, and you have a true marvel. Named after Mexico's Ceboruco volcano, this art commission now calls Washington State home. Ceboruco es fuego—Ceboruco is fire 🔥!

Teótl

Téotl is a majestic alebrije born from a fusion of mythic elements: a lion's head, shark's body, powerful wings, and webbed feet. But this divine creature had its own vision—adding ram horns and a scorpion-shaped tongue. The result is a breathtaking sculpture that embodies the magic of alebrijes.

Cleopatra

A fusion of frog and spynx cat, Cleopatra was part of a trunk show at Mingei Museum in San Diego, CA.
